Chef
As the Executive Chef at The Westin Denver International Airport, Scott Snodell brings over 35 years of experience to his culinary team and his guests who visit the hotel from around the world. Chef Scott or just Scott as he prefers and always says “Scott is my name, Chef is what I do,” has been with the Westin DIA since pre-opening in August, 2015. This hotel is the second Denver area Hotel he has opened as he was part of The Westin Westminster opening team in 2000. Before joining the Westin DIA team Scott was most recently at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel as part of his 16 year journey with Starwood. Prior to that he has spent time with DoubleTree, Marriott and Renaissance hotels as well as country clubs and independent restaurants.
Chef Scott received his training from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, graduating in 1985. He credits his love for food to his time spent cooking with his grandfather and a pure passion for good food. He enjoys passing on his love for his craft and has been a mentor chef with Pro-Start, mentor Chef and national judge for FCCLA as well as a sponsoring chef for the ACF apprenticeship program and is a service culture trainer with Starwood.
Scott enjoys being part of the sales process and working with the clients to make their events unique and their own. He especially likes kitchen parties where he will welcome you into his world and really give you a unique experience inside his kitchen. “When you see a client’s vision come to life, see the smiles and people enjoying what you and your team have created, that’s what it is all about… That’s why I do what I do” quotes Chef Scott.
